GD IN CONTEXT week 4 Progress

Progress so far for photonovel.

After interim, I realized that I kinda messed up abit and I did more refer from other classmates. I was missing a lot of information and I tried my best to fix it. So in this image shows concept 1. Where side by side comparison story between being homosexual and heterosexual. But after testing the story here and there, I kinda dropped this idea because it got too complicated.

This is my first draft idea for my LGBTQ topic. But along the progress I have been stucked with making this story. And there wasn't any balance in this story so I had to stop and re-think of a new story.

So after I dropped the idea, I went back to the idea board and re-interview a few more of my friends about LGBT related issues. And I have gathered more information about it and this is my planned bit messy but will make more clear soon. In the content I have provided which I have asked some points from my friend Kevin. To talk about perception about LGBT. Like example from the way they talk, walk, clothing, group of friends, gestures. And some points I have written are subjective towards it as I have witness some people who are homosexual but not manly, and manly.

2nd idea.

A world which LGBTQ is the norm.

Summary is, a guy that is hateful towards homosexuals appears in a world of lgbtq is the norm. He learns the culture and experiences what is it like being different.

The message of this story.

A. Nose picking. What is special about homosexuality activity makes it distinct from nose picking? Both are view as unsavory activities by many people, but neither is really minded so long as they're kept behind closed doors. Moving on, my chosen trope is "Coming out straight", explains as "a straight character has come out after pretending to be gay". My narrative technique chosen to be is melodrama.

Conclusion, I have confirmed my story and starting on with photoshooting trials.

My case study for this is from Glee, where this parts shows alot of femine elements feelings in the clip which I have to apply to my project

1000 words about someone brief

In today's class we were briefed about our new project which is called 1000 words about someone. Which we have to interview one of our classmates chosen by our lecturer about his projects and how do you write about them in the article and design into them. So my interviewee will be Jun and he will interview me as well. Deadline 21/5/2020

Warm up activity

This activity is to warm us up about 1000 words about someone project. Where we are grouped in 3 and to read an article about Morag Myerscough, Jim Sutherland and Pacifico which was taken from the book: Design Genius - The ways and workings of creative thinkers by Ambrose/Harris. We are needed to discussed what did we learn and how to gather information from the creative peoples and how to write about them. And after that we had to present what have we gathered in a summary form.

I was grouped with Heidi(Sin Yee) and Elis and including me. So in conclusion what we have talked and discussed and agreed on was :-

So the one we decide to look into was the interview with pacifica. Their interviews and answer are just straightforwards. And with follow up with their topic. The summarise of this article/interview the questions are asking about the inspiration of sources, how it relates to their design and society, where they got the idea from. They create organic feel in their creative process. They find nature as a functional component that works wonderfully in solving complex What is lacking is there is not alot of example of works in the article. In the article for Pacifica, they had only shown one example but doesn't add up to more to their works.
